Character rearrangement, checking, modification & addition

New session at the scope. Starting to confirm some characters as "ok", i.e. in all likelihood included as now coded in the resulting analysis. Others receive a "recheck if necessary" label. Yet other receive a "perhaps rephrase" label, meaning they seem to get at something but must be phrased more narrowly.

Size character revised - tri now coded as large (apomorphic) instead of small.

Expansion of male pronotum coded as additive multistate character - outgroup (0) => Terioltes (1) => Cotithene (2).

Position of expansion along male rostrum coded as non-additive, with four states.

"Three small triangular projections" on the male frontal region must probably be revised. Some species have three projections, other apparently only one, and still others have several rugulosities. Exploring various options for coding...needs refinement: for now let + tri coded as rugulose, other Cotithene species as "with projection", except dic.

20 character coded and sequentially arranged.

2 cladograms, the preferred one is dep
icted below.
